Sell your clothes for a cause with Jumping Jack and The Global Women’s Project:
Here at Jumping Jack, we are always looking for ways to make a positive difference in the world.
Whether that be through finding new life for outgrown clothes, or supporting organisations that are creating lasting environmental or social change.
One of the things we are most proud of is our partnership with some incredible charities, The Global Women’s Project and Variety – The Children’s Charity, Victoria. These wonderful charities both deliver impactful programs that help to make a difference for many people.
As today is International Women’s day, we thought it was the perfect time to share a bit about one of our charity partners, The Global Women’s Project, including some of the amazing things that they do and how you can get involved!
A little bit about The Global Women’s Project:
Founded by women, led by women, and existing for women, there’s no doubt that women are at the heart of the agenda for The Global Women’s Project.
Their burning passion is women’s education, independence and entrepreneurship. Their goal is to achieve a world in which every woman has the ability to determine her own life.
That’s why their sole purpose is to give women around the world the tools and resources they need to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
This includes information so that they can start their own businesses or find jobs; resources like loans for their business and creating a community to connect and support each other.
Since 2013, The Global Women’s Project has provided over 2500 women in Cambodia and Nepal with tools like these. Furthermore, over the next five years they have an ambitious plan to reach another 10,000.
Jumping Jack & The Global Women’s Project:
At Jumping Jack we are proud to support an amazing charity that empowers women to determine their own lives.
We are here to help keep things simple for you and your family. Therefore, we are proud to provide you with the option to support this amazing charity… just by selling your outgrown kids clothes with Jumping Jack!
You can decide to sell your own items using our simple sell form. Just select ‘sell for charity’ for the items you wish to donate your proceeds to when listing your items.
Alternatively, you can also sell using our popular Clean Out Bag service. Simply select ‘I wish to donate my profits to charity’ when signing up for the service.
Once your items sell, we forward your proceeds to the charity or your behalf. You’ll also get a tax receipt sent to you for your donation from the charity.
I bet you never thought that your kids’ clothes could be a force for so much good?!!
Not only are you saving them from ending up as unnecessary textile waste, but they can also support and enable a positive change for others.
And as today is such a special day (being International Women’s Day), there’s never been a better time to show your support.
International Women’s Day Challenge:
This year the theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge and that’s why The Global Women’s Project is choosing to challenge the misconception that making a real difference in the world is hard.
It’s not, or at least, it doesn’t have to be.
We couldn’t agree more here at Jumping Jack! We are true believers that even the smallest actions add up to BIG change, especially if we all get involved in our own way.
Despite the many challenges that women face around the world, further impacted upon by the global pandemic, The Global Women’s Project has rallied their partners to provide their COVID relief program and keep the support going during a challenging time.
This includes providing hot meals and food security in Nepal, new skills and training in organic vegetable farming in Cambodia and modern basket weaving programs in Burundi. These programs all had the goal of helping women maintain their livelihoods throughout the global pandemic in some of the world’s most challenging environments.

There are many ways that you can #ChooseToChallenge this International Women’s Day.
At the end of the day, anything that you can do to stand up for a more equal world and give women the respect they deserve and the public voice that they so desperately need is a huge WIN, no matter how small!
If you would like to make a donation to the amazing work that the Global Women’s Project is doing, or perhaps look at selling your clothes for a cause with Jumping Jack, you can feel good knowing that this simple thing will help contribute to an incredible cause that truly makes a BIG difference!!
Thank you for taking the time to read about this important cause and wonderful charity. We cannot wait to help you make your clothes count in ways you never thought possible!!
Happy International Women’s Day!
